I have a broken part but no drawing — is that still possible?
Yes, and it is a large part of the work. We measure the part with calipers, scan it if the shape is complicated, and model it in CAD. Before we commit you get a test piece to check the fit, so it does not turn into an expensive surprise.
Do printed parts hold up in real use?
It depends on the material and how the part is loaded. PETG handles everyday use, ASA takes sun and weather without going brittle, and fibre-reinforced nylon copes far better with heat and mechanical load. We choose the material for what the part will face — and say so if printing is the wrong method and the part should be machined or bought instead.
How long does a job take?
A printed part is usually ready within a couple of days depending on size and queue. Designing something from scratch depends on how much modelling it needs, and a computer normally comes back within a few working days. You get a date along with the price, not afterwards.
Do you print in metal?
No, we print in plastic. If the part needs to be metal we design it and prepare the files for CNC or metal printing at a partner — you get a price for the whole route, not just our part of it.
Can you recover data from a drive that will not start?
Often. If the fault is logical — deleted files, a broken partition, an OS that will not boot — it can usually be solved here. If the drive is mechanically damaged it needs a clean room, and we refer you on rather than make things worse. We tell you which it is before you pay anything.
Do I need to book?
No, we take 3D enquiries and computers as they come. Call or email before you drop by so you know we are in and can take it there and then.
